AGAWAM, Mass. (WWLP) – Agawam Artists and Artisans gathered at Feeding Hills Thursday to unveil their New England Mosaic.

The 24-foot-long mosaic features 250 individual canvases individually painted by local artists. Net proceeds from the canvases that are purchased will go towards the scholarships made for graduating high school students.

The treasurer of Agawam Artists and Artisans Karen Conkey, talked to 22News about the concept behind this mosaic, “So this was “I heart New England” and anything you love about New England. Sometimes there’s a ladybug, sometimes there’s a scene from the fall. Anything that you love about New England.”

The Mosaic will also be displayed at the 4th Annual Pioneer Valley Art Festival in August.
