Barb Sievers honored as Troy the Llama’s Nana
A former Moravia woman, Barb Sievers, is the subject of a new children’s book, penned by her own son-in-law. Merle Mann, an Oskaloosa elementary school teacher and the husband of Siever’s daughter Tami, raises llamas and alpacas. Merle has previously written two books for youngsters featuring the main character named Troy the Llama. For his third literary project, he wrote about their seven children’s love for their Nana, and incorporated sweet memories each one has about their grandmother, Barb. The title, appropriately enough, is “Troy the Llama and His Nana.”

ALBIA — For psycho cyclists cycling through Albia on Thursday, Psycho Cyclist Cookies was the place to be.
