The Up Yonda Farm Environmental Education Center in Bolton, Warren County, will host its fourth annual Maple Festival on March 9, 2024. The festival celebrates the start of the maple season. It will include tours led by Up Yonda Farm Naturalists. Visitors can see the property's maple trees, sap collection, and sugar house. They can also learn about maple syrup production.

The tours are suitable for all ages. They include a tasting of various maple syrups with French toast sticks. The tours last about an hour. They cover the process of making maple syrup, from tapping trees to boiling sap. Participants can also take part in hands-on activities.

Tours start every 30 minutes from 9:30 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. and 1 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. on the festival day. Tickets cost $5 per person and can be reserved online at www.upyondafarm.com. There is an additional $5 parking fee per vehicle. The parking fee supports Up Yonda's operations.

Up Yonda Farm also offers maple programs for school and community groups in March. For more information, contact the Up Yonda Farm staff.

Warren County owns and operates Up Yonda Farm. Alice and John Scott donated it to the county in 1997. The farm has been running programs for schools and families since then. After the Maple Festival, visitors can explore the farm's museum, see the turtles in the Welcome Center, and hike the trails. Other attractions include winter snowshoeing and a Children’s Sensory Garden and butterfly exhibit in the spring and summer.
