Kingwood High School's (KHS) second Tiny Home Project is progressing, with the structure now ready for interior work. Students, teachers, guests, and the construction crew wrote encouraging notes on the interior walls and studs of the home. These notes, according to KHS Senior Tate Odom, hold special meaning as the home is for a veteran in need.

The notes, either written on paper and stapled to the walls or inscribed on the studs, will be covered by interior cabinets and paneling. KHS Construction Management teacher Shellie Dick confirmed that these messages will remain part of the home.

The Tiny Home Project is ongoing at Kingwood, Summer Creek, and Kingwood Park High Schools, all in Humble ISD. The finished tiny homes will be moved to a property in Liberty County, designated for homeless veterans.

The Construction Management classes handle all project aspects, from design ideas and blueprints to material selection, purchase, and construction. Local construction businesses often donate money, materials, or provide expert guidance.

Local furniture company, Skero's, donates furniture and helps stage the home for the project's final part. More updates on the KHS Tiny Home Project #2 will be provided as construction continues.
