Twelve students from Romney Middle School in Moorefield, West Virginia, visited Eastern West Virginia Community and Technical College (Eastern) for a career exploration trip. The visit aimed to introduce the students to business management and marketing careers and to present educational opportunities at Eastern. The students engaged in activities that highlighted Eastern's programs, including a leadership game, a Lego build, and a business-themed game. They also met with campus administrators and a panel of business leaders and students.

Eastern's president, Dr. Thomas Striplin, and the college mascot, Easton, hosted a lunch for the students. The students discussed their interest in fields such as civic engineering, accounting, auto mechanics, cosmetology, entrepreneurship, and social media influencing. Eastern faculty and staff led these sessions, demonstrating the college's dedication to academic and professional development.

The visit gave the students a deeper understanding of Eastern's programs and potential college paths. Eastern thanked Romney Middle School for the opportunity to host the students, noting the importance of such experiences in preparing students for higher education and careers.

Eastern is open for campus tours and educational trips, welcoming potential students and educators to experience the campus. Schools interested in visiting can contact Dixie Heavener, Career Counselor, at dixie.heavener@easternwv.edu.
