    North Carolina's Poet Laureate Jacki Shelton Green to Share Poetry at Rockingham Community College

    Green also owns SistaWRITE, a company that organizes writing retreats for women. In 2021, The Arts Club of Chicago premiered a work she collaborated on for the “Black Is Series”. It was performed in April 2022 by Flutronix and the Cincinnati Symphony Orchestra.

    Green's work has been widely recognized. She is the poetry editor for WALTER Magazine and was the Poet Laureate in Residence at the North Carolina Museum of Art in 2022. She was also listed on the Forbes Magazine “50 Over 50 Lifestyle List” for 2022.
