The Franklin College Theatre Department will present the dark comedy 'The Mistake on the Lake' in April. The play is a fictional account of Cleveland, Ohio’s BalloonFest ’86. It tells the story of four United Way of Greater Cleveland board members who try to improve the city's image but face the fallout of their poor decision.

The play is penned by Trey Everett, a playwright, author, and musician based in New York City. K.T. Peterson will direct it. The Richard A. Harrison (’57) Visiting Guest Artist Endowment funds the production. The shows will run from Thursday, April 25 to Sunday, April 28. Evening shows start at 8 p.m. and there's a 2 p.m. matinee on the last day.

Tickets cost $12 for general admission. Students and seniors (55 and over) can get in for $8. Franklin College students, faculty, and staff can enter for free with a valid ID. Tickets can be reserved by email or phone. They should be claimed ten minutes before the show. The box office opens an hour before the performance.

The play will be staged at the Johnson Center for Fine Arts, located at the intersection of Branigin Blvd. and Grizzly Dr. on the Franklin College campus. The play includes strong language, so viewer discretion is advised.

For more details about the play or ticket reservations, contact the Franklin College Office of Communications at (317) 738-8185.
