Mid-State Technical College is now accepting registrations for its summer and fall terms. The summer term, which starts in May and June, offers students the chance to start an associate degree, technical diploma, or certificate. Available degrees include hospitality, university transfer, and 20 business-related programs and certificates. Programs like Nursing Assistant, Emergency Medical Technician, and Stainless Steel Welding can be completed during the summer term.

The fall term begins in August and will mark the opening of the Wayne H. Bushman Advanced Manufacturing, Engineering Technology, and Apprenticeship (AMETA™) Center. This center will offer 14 programs and apprenticeships, half of which have scholarship opportunities of up to $5,000. The AMETA Center is a modern facility designed to enhance student learning.

Jackie Esselman, the dean of Recruitment and Admissions, highlighted the opportunities for new and continuing students, workforce members, transfer students, and community members. She pointed out that the summer term is a good time for students to get ahead on coursework.

Esselman also reminded students to register early to secure their preferred courses. She mentioned that summer classes fill up fast and that the fall term is the college's busiest period.
