Five second-year art students from Jones College in Ellisville are displaying their artwork at the Eula Bass Lewis Art Gallery on campus. The students, Dalton Burrell, Leah Byrd, Natalie Graves, Tanika Norsworthy Waynesboro, and Keylan Walker, have various pieces on display until April 24, 2024. The exhibition includes different art forms such as drawing, design, ceramics, and painting, showcasing the college's diverse curriculum.

Melanie Banks, an Art instructor at Jones College, expressed her pride in the students. She also invited the public to view the students' artwork. The exhibition provides the students with a platform to display their talent and gain exposure.

Natalie Graves from Hattiesburg, one of the five students, won a second-place ribbon at the Mississippi Community College Art Instructor Association’s statewide student art show. Her 3D design, 'Chaos from the Calm,' was made using acrylic paint, modeling paste, paper towels, and matboard. Graves shared that she had initial doubts about her piece but was happy with its success.

The Eula Bass Lewis Art Gallery is open Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m., and by appointment only on Wednesdays. The gallery is closed during the holidays. For more information about upcoming JC art shows or to arrange a visit, the gallery can be reached at 601-477-8401.
