The South Florida State College (SFSC) is set to host a free performance by the Bits n Pieces Puppet Theater. This group is committed to engaging children with theatrical versions of classic children's stories. Cindy Garren, the director of cultural programs at SFSC, described the event as a fun, free family activity.

SFSC is also providing free puppet-making workshops at three local libraries. Hollie Rubin of Bits n Pieces Puppet Theater will lead these workshops. Children will get the chance to perform a puppet show. The workshops will take place at Hardee County Library in Wauchula on April 23 at 4 p.m., Sebring Library on April 24 at 11 a.m., and Avon Park Library on April 24 at 4 p.m.

Participants should call the library beforehand to register and ensure availability of puppet-making materials. The workshops, funded by a grant from South Arts, are suitable for children in grades 1–3.

The Bits n Pieces Puppet Theatre is recognized for its unique storytelling approach, highlighting core values often conveyed by great storytellers. The group's goal is to engage the children of today through storytelling.

The performance will take place at the University Center at SFSC, located at 600 West College Drive in Avon Park. To reserve free seats for the performance of Robin Hood, interested individuals can visit sfscARTS.org or call the SFSC Box Office at 863-784-7178.
