On April 15, 2024, Cooperstown National History Day students competed in the state competition at SUCO in Oneonta. They were up against other regional winners from across New York State. The goal was to select the top two entries in each category for the national event in June.

Nora Craig, a Cooperstown participant, received recognition for her entry on Emmeline Pankhurst in the Voting Rights category. The League of Women Voters sponsored this special award, commending the high standard of her work.

The NHD Club co-advisors, Mrs. Hitchcock and Mr. Brotherton, expressed gratitude for the students' hard work. They noted the effort involved in creating and refining the projects, which ranged from documentaries and websites to exhibits and research papers.

The co-advisors praised the students for their dedication and hard work in preparing for each stage of the competition.
