Clinton Community College recently held the 2024 High School Fine Arts Day as part of the Community College Month celebrations. The event featured competitions in painting, drawing, and graphic design, where local high school students showcased their work. Winners in each category received a 3-credit art course from the CCC Paul B. Sharar Foundation.

Over 50 artworks were submitted to the competition. Dr. Brian Kelly, President of Clinton Community College, praised the high level of participation and the quality of the artworks. He encouraged the students to keep pursuing their artistic interests.

In the drawing category, Allison Gilmore from West Carroll High School won first place with her piece 'Suspicious Twins.' Daria Prymachova from Central Dewitt took second place with a drawing of a snail. In graphic design, Audry Wilke from Central Dewitt won with 'Whale,' followed by Megan Daniels, also from Central Dewitt, with 'Let’s Rock.'

The painting competition was won by Mereck Fuller from Clinton High School with 'Painting of Coco.' Audriana Guldner from Central Dewitt was second with 'Sunsets in the Mountains.'
