Several students from Godley ISD were recognized for their achievements in soil and water conservation contests. The awards banquet will be held on May 6, 2024, at the Cleburne Conference Center. Students from various grade levels participated, submitting essays and artwork to promote conservation.

Makenna Robinson from Godley 6th Grade Campus won the district champion title for her poster. Her classmates, Maddie Hughes and Cheyenne Bills, placed second and third respectively in the grades 3-6 competition.

In the younger divisions, Keely Sargent and Owen Schowe from R.B. Godley Elementary were awarded for their posters. Sargent took second place in the kindergarten to second grade category, and Schowe placed third in the pre-kindergarten group.

High school students also participated. Ketrevian Adams and Klara Pinkerton from Godley High School each earned second place in their categories for grades 11-12 and 9-10, respectively. Their achievements demonstrate the commitment of older students to environmental stewardship.
