The City of Pocatello, in partnership with Hales Engineering, is gathering community feedback to improve its transportation system through the Safe Streets and Roads for All (SS4A) Action Plan. This project is funded by a grant from the U.S. Department of Transportation and aims to increase safety and reduce pedestrian-vehicle fatalities.

Residents of Pocatello can participate in the survey online to identify key areas for the SS4A Action Plan's implementation. The survey is available on the Hales Engineering website, which is dedicated to this project.

The SS4A Action Plan focuses on specific areas in Pocatello, including Downtown Pocatello, the Alameda Neighborhood, and the North Hawthorne area. Planned changes include street reconfiguration and improved pedestrian facilities.

The plan proposes a detailed strategy for transportation that adds sidewalks, bike lanes, bus lanes, and other features to support pedestrian safety and encourage walking, biking, and other forms of active transportation.
