At the recent Canadian Valley Technology Center (CV Tech) completion ceremony, a group of students were honored for their achievements. Jermie Hunt, a 37-year-old Air Force veteran from Yukon, was notable among them. After 16 years in the military, including 13 at Tinker Air Force Base, Hunt joined CV Tech’s Computer Information Systems program. His leadership and academic performance earned him the CV Tech Foundation Outstanding Scholar award, which was recognized by nearly 3,000 attendees.

Anjalina Thomas from Yukon also received recognition at the El Reno Campus. As a CV Tech Ambassador and Pre-Engineering class president, Thomas has achieved academic success, becoming a National Merit Finalist and an Academic All State honoree. Her accomplishments reflect the strong academic support at CV Tech for aspiring engineers.

In the health sector, Caitlyn DeTar from Piedmont completed her Health Careers coursework at the Cowan Campus. She is part of the new pre-nursing program, aimed at fast-tracking students into Practical Nursing. DeTar plans to pursue a bachelor’s degree in nursing and aims to become a nurse anesthetist.

Tyler Moxley, from Yukon, was also recognized at the Cowan Campus for his dedication to his nursing studies. Despite working two jobs, Moxley is enrolled in the Practical Nursing program and plans to earn a bachelor’s degree in nursing. His efforts demonstrate the dedication CV Tech encourages in its students.
