The Career Employees' Council (CEC) at Florida State College at Jacksonville (FSCJ) aims to improve the workplace for its career employees by promoting recognition, involvement, and opportunities for excellence. In May, the CEC is highlighting Janet 'Jace' Christovich, the Administration Support Manager.

Jace Christovich started at FSCJ in fall 2012 as a part-time project coordinator. Over the last eleven years, she has advanced to key administrative roles in various departments, including Campus Operations and FSCJ Online. She supports the Deerwood Campus Dean and contributes to other college initiatives.

Jace leads a team that manages the Campus Resource Center, supporting all campus departments and staff. Her team also oversees the Faculty Resource Center, serving both full-time and adjunct faculty, and manages mailroom and duplicating services. They play a crucial role in supporting student and faculty programs.

Additionally, Jace coordinates campus events and activities, collaborating with departments, committees, student groups, and the Campus Dean. Her team processes over 1,200 online class overrides each term, significantly affecting student success.

Outside of work, Jace is active in her community and personal hobbies. She earned an A.S. degree from the Art Institute of Pittsburgh and has over 35 years of experience in marketing, communications, and development. Jace enjoys gardening, reading, writing, arts and crafts, and spending time with her family. She volunteers at her church and participates in community service, focusing on disaster preparedness and mental health.
