The William Floyd Fine Arts Department recently held a signing ceremony to celebrate the achievements of its senior class. Led by Dr. Amy Mason Sckipp, the event acknowledged students who plan to continue their education in music and the arts. The ceremony was conducted in the school's Jeananne Dawson Memorial Library, with family, friends, and educators in attendance.

This year, sixteen talented seniors were recognized. Eight of them aim to pursue further studies in music fields such as music business, education, performance, theater, and theory. The other eight plan to study various artistic disciplines including architecture, fashion marketing, fine arts, graphic design, and illustration.

The event featured an art exhibit organized by visual arts chairperson Theresa Bianco and the art teachers of William Floyd High School. The Tri-M Music Honor Society, under the guidance of advisor Mick Singh and members Donia Rivera and Berkeley Rousseau, performed a recital.

Among the music students, Eli Confer and Isiah Owens are set to attend Crane School of Music at SUNY Potsdam for music education. Gabrielle Martin and Mikayla Zeldin will study musical theatre at Five Towns College and Long Island University, respectively. In the arts sector, Keira Amaris and Eidryne Enerio will join the Fashion Institute of Technology, focusing on fine arts and fashion marketing.
