Austin efficiently led the Warhorses' offense in their 41-0 win over Williston-Elko, completing eight of 12 passes for 112 yards and a touchdown and carrying the ball six times for 43 yards and another score.

    Cam Blacks, RB/LB

    Strom Thurmond

    Drelyn Brown, RB/SB

    Silver Bluff

Brown carried the ball 16 times for 115 yards and two touchdowns in the Bulldogs' loss to Strom Thurmond.

Burke stood out for the Jackets in a defensive battle against Lexington, making nine tackles and breaking up a pass in a 20-19 loss.

    Defense

    Barnwell

The Warhorses' defense was stifling in the win over Williston-Elko, repeatedly giving the offense short fields to set up quick scores. They pitched a shutout and didn't allow the Blue Devils to build any momentum offensively.

    Michael Doe, RB

    North Augusta

Doe drew high praise from Lexington coach Dustin Curtis following Friday's game, during which he rushed for 101 yards and three touchdowns on 22 carries and nearly willed the Jackets to a comeback victory.

    Jevon Edwards, RB

    South Aiken

Edwards had another strong night on the ground for the T-Breds in their 28-19 loss to Lakeside, running it 21 times for 156 yards and two touchdowns. He also caught two passes for 35 yards.

    Trey Harris, LB

    Silver Bluff

Harris led the charge for Silver Bluff defensively against Strom Thurmond, getting in on nine tackles, making two tackles for loss and recovering a fumble.

    Jaquel Holman, RB/LB

    Blackville-Hilda

Holman had touchdown runs of 67, 58 and 18 yards in the Fighting Hawks' 41-6 win over Edisto, and it only took him seven carries to approach the 200-yard mark.

    Offensive Line

    Strom Thurmond

The entire front five got a shoutout from head coach Andrew Webb following Friday's win. Tucker Mims, Trent Kelly, Gage Cockrell, Micah Warren and Carter Boatwright cleared the way for the Rebels to rush for 249 yards on 45 attempts.

    Deonte Phillips, RB/LB

    Strom Thurmond

Phillips ran the ball 11 times for 77 yards and two touchdowns, had a hand in six tackles and made a critical fumble recovery in the fourth quarter to stop Silver Bluff from making it a one-score game.

    Mekhi Quiller, ATH

    Fox Creek

Quiller had a huge game in Fox Creek's season-opening loss to Dixie, catching five passes for 128 yards and two touchdowns and returning a kickoff 84 yards for another score.

    Jameat Williams, WR/DB

    Silver Bluff

Williams caught five passes for 22 yards, had a hand in 10 total tackles, recorded a sack, forced and recovered a fumble in the Bulldogs' loss to Strom Thurmond.
