Silverstein Secures Leases with Law Firm, Columbia University in Midtown
Silverstein Properties finalized two new lease signings at 1177 Ave. of the Americas in Midtown Manhattan. Law firm Faegre Drinker Biddle & Reath LLP, a longtime tenant, will relocate within the building to occupy floors 41-43, totaling 42,394 square feet. Doulas En Espanol, a collective of about 20 Spanish-speaking doulas that provide free doula services to the Hispanic community in the Bronx, Queens, Brooklyn, and Manhattan, hosted its sixth event at the CUNY Graduate Center on Friday for expecting and postpartum migrant mothers. The monthly event, called “Mamita” events, has been operating since January of 2024 and brings in dozens of migrant mothers from across New York City each month looking for a space to meet with other expecting or postpartum mothers, while also receiving free strollers, car seats, baby clothes and other postpartum items.
