It seems like development in Florida never slows down, and Boca Raton is no exception! With a growing population, the demand for more housing, retail, and office spaces is through the roof. In this latest move, Avalon Northlake LLC has purchased a 9.05-acre property adjacent to the Publix at Northlake Promenade Shoppes for a cool $16.5 million. The plan? To build 279 apartments right next to the popular grocery store.

For those familiar with the area, this particular Publix, located at 374 Northlake Boulevard, is well-known among locals. It has over 1,300 reviews on Google and holds a solid 4.4-star rating, though opinions are definitely mixed.

As for the apartments, they’re set to bring even more life to the area. Avalon Northlake LLC plans to turn the mostly vacant land into a high-end residential community. Avalon properties in the area typically don’t come cheap—rent prices for their other communities range from about $1,810 for a studio to $3,375 for a three-bedroom. Given the prime location, just blocks from the Intracoastal Waterway, some of these apartments could even come with stunning water views.

This isn’t the first time we’ve seen apartments popping up next to grocery stores in Florida. Similar projects like the Shoppes at Orange Blossom and the Skyway Marina District have shown that combining retail with nearby residential spaces is becoming a trend. As Florida continues to grow, developments like this one near the Publix at Northlake Promenade Shoppes seem to be the way of the future.

So, if you're looking to move to Boca Raton and enjoy being steps away from your grocery shopping, this new development could be just what you need! Keep an eye on this space—it’s bound to bring even more buzz to the area.
