Ex-Copley standout, Navy football DL Landon Robinson makes appearance on Freaks List

Ex-Copley standout Landon Robinson has made his second consecutive appearance on a prestigious college football list.

Robinson, a junior nose guard for the Navy Midshipmen, lands at No. 48 on writer Bruce Feldman’s College Football Freaks List in 2024 , moving up from No. 92 last year.

What impressed Feldman? He added 30 pounds to his bench press to 450 pounds and tacked on 50 pounds on his squat. Here's what Feldman wrote:

The only nose guard in FBS to play on the kickoff team last year. The 6-0, 286-pounder, No. 92 on the Freaks List in 2023, who arrived at the Naval Academy at 240 pounds, has improved his bench 30 pounds up to 450 and his squat 50 pounds up to 650. Robinson (28 tackles last year) vertical-jumped 33 inches and clocked 20.13 mph.

One the field, Robinson, 6-foot, 285 pounds, recorded 28 tackles and four sacks last season.

A peanut allergy nearly crushed Robinson's dreams of playing at Navy.
