    EF1 tornado hit Summit County during Tuesday's storm, National Weather Service confirms

    The National Weather Service confirmed that an EF1 tornado hit Summit County during Tuesday's storm.

    A storm damage team was out Thursday in the Richfield and Boston area, where they determined a tornado crossed with an estimated peak wind of 104 mph. The damage path length was 3.32 miles, and the maximum width was 105 yards. No injuries or deaths were reported.

    Near the area at the Cuyahoga Valley National Park, the park experienced power outages and numerous trees down.

    The park's public information officer and community engagement supervisor, Pamela Barnes, said that trails were affected, and visitors should be cautious as they continue to assess and remove downed/hazard trees. As of Thursday morning, Riverview Road was closed from Boston Mills Road to Stine Road due to debris.

    Canal Exploration Center was closed due to no power. However, the Boston Mill Visitor Center powers was restored, Barnes added.

    EF1 tornadoes also confirmed in Cuyahoga County

    Two other Tuesday tornados were confirmed Wednesday by NWS . One landed in Avon Lake in Cuyahoga County and traveled 8.42 miles to Lorain. It reached a peak speed of 110 mph and was 200 yards wide. It traveled from 3:45 p.m. to to 3:56 p.m. The other landed in Brook Park, also in Cuyahoga County, and traveled 17 miles to Bedford. It reached a peak speed of 104 mph and was 350 yards wide. It traveled from 3:59 p.m. to 4:22 p.m. Both were categorized as EF1s.
