The Akron Zoo is once again bringing back its Community Days for Summit County residents to visit for free.

During the month of September, the zoo is setting aside a limited number of tickets each day for Summit County residents to visit.

The zoo says this is a way of thanking residents for passing the tax levy that helps support the zoo.

County residents are limited to reserving up to four tickets online for a specific day of their choosing in September.

How to get free Akron Zoo tickets?

To reserve tickets, visit akronzoo.org/community-days online.

The zoo has been offering the Community Days tickets since 2001 when the first zoo levy passed in Summit County.

The Akron Zoo − open seven days a week − was founded in 1953.
