Megan Keleman's name will continue to live on at Cleveland State University thanks to a scholarship being established in her honor following her shooting death last week in a Taco Bell drive-thru in Stow.

According to a GoFundMe , Keleman's family and friends wanted to honor her passion for education and community service by creating something special for a future scholar.

She recently earned her MBA with a focus on nonprofit management from Cleveland State University.

"Megan was intelligent, driven, and passionate about the things she loved. Megan was passionate about education and dreamed of one day getting her PhD. She made an impact on her Cleveland State University community where she was involved and a leader in many student organizations," said Raina Malone, the organizer for the GoFundMe.

Keleman was shot to death last week after an apparent murder-suicide at Taco Bell on Graham Road in Stow. Jason Williams, 53, from Stow, was the person who fired the shots before turning the gun on himself.

About 500 people gathered Sunday night outside Stow City Hall for Keleman's vigil.

As of Monday night, the GoFundMe had raised more than $19,700 toward its $25,000 goal.

Keleman worked at Shelter Care, a non-profit organization that focused on helping youth in crisis, according to the GoFundMe. She volunteered with Girls on the Run, devoting her time "to being a role model for young girls, helping build their self-confidence and fostering friendships."
