The world is your oyster when it comes to pairings with this rosé | Phil Your Glass

Limiting rosé to merely a springtime sipper is borderline criminal if you ask my opinion.

Rosé is great to have with Tom Turkey, your Christmas ham, and every time in between. We certainly can, and should, rosé every day, especially with Château Sainte Croix rosé.

Pull the cork on this provincial beauty, and you will be enthralled by the aromas of ripe peach and melon. I like the crisp citrus and raspberry notes that come with this blend of 70% grenache, 20% carignan, and 10% syrah grapes.

The vines are between 20 to 40 years old and are grown in the Cotes De Provence appellation.

I’ve had a couple of glasses in the past two weeks and found the versatility to be unbelievable. A glass of Sainte Croix rosé has enough acidity to pair wonderfully with a bowl of Chef Beau Schmidt’s spicy gumbo. It was also great with a Mattioli’s thin and crispy Neapolitan pizza, an order of chicken stir fry from Wise Guy’s Lounge and Grill, shrimp with spicy cocktail sauce, as well as some home made Kalamata olive caviar.

So, when it comes to pairings, the world is your oyster − and I would be surprised if this wine wasn’t perfect with a dozen of those tasty, brackish, ocean slurpables.
