    Heat index of 100 degrees possible Tuesday, Wednesday in northern Ohio

    After several days of mild, even fall-like, temperatures, this week will see temperatures soar to the 90s, with the heat index reaching the 100-degree mark in parts of northern Ohio Tuesday and Wednesday, according to the National Weather Service.

    There's also a slight chance of periodic thunderstorms for the first part of the week.

    Sunday's temperatures are expected to reach a high of 88 degrees, with a 30% chance of precipitation after 2 p.m. There is a 20% chance of showers and thunderstorms and a low of 68 degrees on Sunday.

    Monday's high is expected to be around 90 degrees, with a 20% chance of showers and thunderstorms.

    Tuesday's high temperature is expected to be around 94 degrees with mostly sunny skies, with a 20% chance of showers and thunderstorms in the evening.

    Wednesday's high is expected to be around 92 degrees, with a 30% chance of showers and thunderstorms in the afternoon.

    When is the last day of summer 2024?

    The season ends on Sept. 22 with the autumnal equinox signaling the beginning of fall.
