LeBron James on 'The Shop' tells son Bronny James to not call him Dad with Lakers

LeBron James is keeping it all business with his son, Bronny .

On the latest episode of “The Shop” on the Uninterrupted YouTube channel, the basketball legend is laying down boundaries for when he and his older son are at work with the Los Angeles Lakers .

The Lakers selected Bronny with the 55th overall draft pick of this year’s NBA Draft. They could be the first father-son duo to play together in the NBA.

That doesn’t, however, mean that Bronny can be all familiar and everything.

While at work, Bronny can call LeBron any number of things, except “Dad.”

"He got to call me like '2-3' or 'Bron' or, you know, 'GOAT' if he want to. It's up to him," James said. "We cannot be running down the court, and he'd be like, 'Dad, push the ball up! Dad, I'm open! Dad, come on!'"

When do the boundary lines change for the duo?

"Once we leave out the private facility and the gates close, I could be 'Dad' again, in the car if we ride together, at home I could be 'Dad,'" LeBron said.

LeBron James, who recently came off an MVP appearance in the Summer Olympics in Paris, is entering his 21st NBA season and seventh with the Lakers. Bronny signed a four-year, $7.9 million contract with a team option in the final season.
