Denzel Pope, the man wanted in connection to the July 28 shooting death of Paige Calich in Summit Lake, has been extradited back to Akron from Chicago, Akron police Capt. Mike Miller confirmed.

Police records show that Pope was booked in Summit County Jail on Aug. 28 and is being held on a variety of charges, including murder and felonious assault. He was previously arrested in Chicago on July 31, just weeks before his 20th birthday.

Corvette Pope, 25, was the other suspect involved in the incident. She was arrested July 30 and is also in Summit County Jail on charges including aggravated murder and tampering with evidence.

    What happened to Paige Calich?

Calich was killed at her 14 Socrates Place apartment after she was shot in her torso following an argument. She was 24.

Calich was reportedly in an altercation earlier in the day leading to her death, according to a few of the 911 calls released by the Akron Police Department.

"The people across the street have been having drama all night," one caller could be heard saying.

Another caller reported Calich had been in an altercation "for a while" in the hours prior to being shot.
