    The Akron Zoo is getting ready to kick off the Halloween season.

    Dates and times have been set for this year's Boo at the Zoo.

    Kids − and parents too − are invited to wear costumes and explore the zoo.

    There are special decorations, activities and even candy for the kids during the annual October rite.

    There will be 12 candy stations − and special treats for those with allergies − set up in and around the zoo.

    When is Boo at the Akron Zoo?

    Akron's Boo at the Zoo will run Oct. 12-27 on specific dates.

    The dates are: Oct. 12-13, 19-20 and 26-27. The hours are 11 a.m. to 7 p.m.

    How much is Boo at the Zoo and how do I get tickets?

    Tickets are required to attend the Boo at the Zoo.

    Tickets are available at the ticket counter, but the zoo recommends purchasing tickets online .

    Tickets for trick-or-treaters range from $15 to $22.

    For those who are just observing and do not plan to trick-or-treat, ticket prices range from $12 to $19.

    The Akron Zoo this year adopted a dynamic pricing policy where ticket prices vary depending on demand and the day you plan to visit.

    When is Zoothing Boo at the Zoo?

    The Akron Zoo will once again host a Zoothing Boo at the Zoo.

    The zoo will open an hour early at 10 a.m. on Oct. 26 for those families or guests who need a quieter experience before the crowds arrive.

    The Zoothing Boo at the Zoo requires a special ticket that can be purchased online .
