    Akron-area high school football Friday night games could be impacted by weather, storms

    Week 3 of the Ohio high school football season in Summit County could be impacted by the weather .

    The National Weather Service warns rain and some severe storms are expected Friday afternoon .

    The biggest risk for severe storms, according to the weather service, is from 3-7 p.m., with the potential for as much as an inch of rain in some areas by the time things clear up on Saturday afternoon. Some of the thunderstorms could have damaging wind gusts.

    High school football games kick off across the region at 7 p.m. Friday.
