The Dawg Pound Captain tradition before Browns games is alive and strong.

On Sunday before the season opener against the Dallas Cowboys , a couple local rock and rollers took the stage to crush a guitar.

Akron's own Black Keys had the honors of christening the game on Sunday.

This is really the first time we've heard from the band since they canceled a nationwide concert tour earlier this year.

The Keys' guitar smash isn't quite as inspirational as the final one from the 2023. For that game, a Dec. 28 game against the New York Jets, running back Nick Chubb stepped up to the podium, donned a Batman mask and did the honors.

Just two months earlier Chubb was lost for the season with a gruesome knee injury .
