Authorities are asking the public's help in identifying the driver of a vehicle that struck a pedestrian over the weekend at the Blossom Music Center.

The Summit County Sheriff's Department said a concertgoer was struck at the music venue around 11 p.m. Friday as the Avril Lavigne concert was letting out.

Authorities say the pedestrian, whose identity was not released, suffered serious injuries and had to be transported to a local hospital by the Cuyahoga Falls Fire Department.

    The vehicle fled the scene.

Anyone with information about the crash is asked to call the sheriff's department at 330-643-2147 or 330-643-2181.

This is not the first serious traffic mishap at the concert venue.

A year ago, a sheriff's deputy was severely injured at Blossom while directing traffic at a Jason Aldean concert that had been cut short because of severe weather.

    Oh no!

Everyone knows that everyone is completely wasted after these concerts. There are only limited ways out and lots of people staggering around. Accidents and near misses are constant after a show like this.
