    The star of a beloved Christmas movie for generations of movie fans is coming to Akron.

    The Akron Civic will host A Live Conversation with Macaulay Culkin in December.

    The movie star, who is now all grown up, will sit down and discuss the his career and, of course, the movie "Home Alone" after the audience gets a chance to watch the film. Culkin is now 44; he was just 9 when he filmed the movie that was released in 1990.

    The comedy tells the tale of  8-year-old Kevin McCallister who is accidently left home alone at Christmas when his family leaves for a trip to Paris.

    When is Macaulay Culkin coming to Akron?

    A Live Conversation with Macaulay Culkin will be at the Akron Civic Theatre on Dec. 10.

    The doors to the theater open at 5:30 p.m. with the movie set to start at 6:30 p.m.

    The moderated discussion with Culkin will follow the 1 hour and 43 minute movie.

    How can I get tickets to see Macaulay Culkin in Akron?

    Tickets for a night with Macaulay Culkin will go on sale at 10 a.m. Friday, Sept. 13 at ticketmaster.com .

    Ticket prices − before fees − range from $39 to as much as $250 for VIP experiences that include a photo opportunity with Culkin.
