CLEVELAND — The Guardians have spoken all year about the unique level of togetherness in the clubhouse and dugout. Monday night, it brought manager Stephen Vogt to tears.

The Guardians won in thrilling fashion , beating the Minnesota Twins 4-3 on Kyle Manzardo's go-ahead, two-run home run in the eighth inning. The win was key in the Guardians' pursuit of a playoff spot and the American League Central division crown.

Manzardo yelled to the dugout and slammed his bat to the ground as soon as the ball left his bat. Josh Naylor, who was standing on second base at the time as the potential tying run, raised both his arms as he watched the ball sail over the wall before waiting for Manzardo at home plate.

"My favorite part was watching Naylor at second base, standing there watching, cheering, waiting for him at home plate with a smile on his face," Vogt said. "That's the kind of stuff that this team does.

"I love these guys. They're so much fun to watch. They love each other, they work hard. Tonight was an emotional night. And to see two teammates come together like that, that's powerful."
