    62-year-old man hospitalized Monday night after being struck by vehicle in Green

    A man was hospitalized Monday evening after reportedly being struck by a vehicle, according to the Summit County Sheriff's Office.

    Deputies responded to reports of a hit-and-run in the 3800 block of South Main Street at about 8:10 p.m. Upon arrival, they discovered the 62-year-old man lying in the road near the intersection of South Main Street and Magua Drive. The man was transported to Akron General Hospital with unknown injuries by the Green Fire Department.

    Prior to the accident, the man was kicked out of a local business for being "unruly and intoxicated," according to the sheriff's office.

    The sheriff's office is leading the investigation into this incident.
