All about Siren's Curse at Cedar Point, the new record-breaking tilt coaster opening in 2025

Siren's Curse is billed as the the tallest, fastest and longest “tilt” roller coaster in America, according to Cedar Point.

Themed after the mythical sirens in Lake Erie whose voices lure sailors, Siren's Curse will play mournful music as riders climb to the top of a 160-foot Lake Erie shipping tower, Cedar Point says. From there, the tower's platform tilts 90 degrees and connects to another length of track that sends riders straight down.

The coaster then zooms along 2,966 feet of track, reaching speeds of 58 mph. In total, the coaster offers 13 weightless air time moments along with 360-degree barrel rolls along with a high-speed “triple-down” element with twisted and overbanked track, according to the park.

Construction on the coaster, located near the Iron Dragon coaster and near the Cedar Point Marina, will begin soon, the park says, and is targeted for an early summer 2025 opening.

What are Cedar Point and roller coaster fans saying on social media?

On social media, fans are enthusiastic about the new coaster.

How many roller coasters are at Cedar Point?

Siren's Curse will be Cedar Point's 19th roller coaster. Others include Millennium Force, Top Thrill 2, Steel Vengeance and Maverick.

When will Top Thrill 2 reopen?

Top Thrill 2, which opened in 2024 but closed after only eight days , will reopen in 2025, according to Cedar Point.

The ride was closed so its manufacturer, Zamperela, could make modifications to the coasters cars. It was not expected to be closed for the entire 2024 season, but apparently the needed modifications could not be completed in time.
