    Rainy day on tap across northern Ohio with a risk for some severe storms to develop

    A warm front is expected to bring showers and even a few isolated storms across northern Ohio.

    The National Weather Service says there's a chance some of those storms could be severe Tuesday afternoon.

    The biggest risk is gusty winds.

    Depending on how much cloud cover there is on Tuesday will determine just how robust the storms are this afternoon.

    The biggest risk of severe storms is along U.S. Route 30 and south.

    Things are expected to dry out on Thursday before a chance of showers returns for the weekend.

    What's the weather forecast?

    Tuesday: Showers and possibly a thunderstorm, mainly before 4 p.m., then a chance of showers and thunderstorms after 4 p.m. High near 74. South wind 6 to 11 mph. Chance of precipitation is 90%. New rainfall amounts between a half and three quarters of an inch possible.

    Tuesday night: Showers and thunderstorms likely before 11 p.m., then showers likely and possibly a thunderstorm between 11 p.m. and midnight, then a chance of showers and thunderstorms after midnight. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 65. South wind 11 to 13 mph. Chance of precipitation is 70%. New rainfall amounts between a tenth and quarter of an inch, except higher amounts possible in thunderstorms.

    Wednesday: A slight chance of showers before 2 p.m., then a chance of showers and thunderstorms between 2 p.m. and 5 p.m., then a chance of showers after 5 p.m. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 75. South wind around 10 mph. Chance of precipitation is 30%. New rainfall amounts of less than a tenth of an inch, except higher amounts possible in thunderstorms.

    Wednesday night: A chance of showers before 8 p.m., then a slight chance of showers and thunderstorms between 8 p.m. and 11 p.m., then a slight chance of showers after 11 p.m. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 62. Southwest wind around 5 mph. Chance of precipitation is 30%. New precipitation amounts of less than a tenth of an inch, except higher amounts possible in thunderstorms.

    Thursday: Partly sunny, with a high near 79. Northeast wind 3 to 7 mph.

    Thursday night: Mostly cloudy, with a low around 61.

    Friday: Partly sunny, with a high near 78.

    Friday night: A chance of showers before 2 a.m. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 62. Chance of precipitation is 30%.

    Saturday: A chance of showers after 2 p.m. Mostly sunny, with a high near 79. Chance of precipitation is 30%.

    Saturday night: A chance of showers. Partly cloudy, with a low around 61. Chance of precipitation is 30%.

    Sunday: A chance of showers. Partly sunny, with a high near 77. Chance of precipitation is 40%.

    Sunday night: A chance of showers. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 59. Chance of precipitation is 30%.

    Monday: A chance of showers. Partly sunny, with a high near 74. Chance of precipitation is 40%.
