    Dine like it's 1999. City Barbeque rolls back prices 25 years to celebrate anniversary

    City Barbeque is celebrating its 25th anniversary today with a return to 1999 pricing on some items, including dishes costing less than $5.

    On City Barbeque’s Sept. 25 Wayback Wednesday, the restaurants will have special prices on select menu items:

    • Hand-pulled pork: $4.95
    • Turkey breast: $4.95
    • Texas-style sausage with slaw: $4.95
    • Full slab of St. Louis–cut ribs with Texas toast: $19.99

    The first 100 guests at each location on Sept. 25 will receive a mystery scratch-off card with a barcode for a prize.

    One person will win a $100 gift card. Other prizes include free meals, drinks and discounts.

    Also, City Rewards members will receive exclusive anniversary offers, including a 25-cent pulled pork sandwich. New members joining through Sept. 30 will automatically get the 25-cent sandwich offer.

    Rick Malir began the Columbus, Ohio-based business in 1999. The chain now operates in 10 states.

    As part of the anniversary celebration, guests who share their fondest memories of City Barbeque can win prizes, including a luxury stay in The Cave at Dunlap Hollow in Hocking Hills, Ohio, with a fridge full of City Barbeque and a Visa gift card for $500; tickets to the Memphis in May Barbecue Cooking Contest with a $2,000 Visa gift card; limited editions of City Barbeque merch; and free barbecue.

    Thank you beacon journal for this wonderfully researched article. …. Summit county sherrifs let out criminals and don’t care. Judge stormer adopts children to their abusers (2017ad19) and has people beaten up by bailiffs before deleting the evidence. It’s good to know that our news media in the city is focused on the importance of pulled pork.
