There's a new "Jeopardy" champ from Northeast Ohio.

And this one hails from Summit County.

Ryan Manton, who on the TV quiz show identifies himself as a system analyst from Columbus, has close ties to Greater Akron.

Manton is a 2011 graduate of Copley-Fairlawn schools.

He is on a four-game winning streak and so far has won $83,179 on the popular quiz show.

Manton credits honing his "Jeopardy" skills by his participation in a bar trivia league.

And his wife, Lauren, appeared once on "Jeopardy," too, about three years ago.

When will Ryan Manton be on Jeopardy next?

In Greater Akron, "Jeopardy" airs at 7:30 p.m. on WOIO Channel 19 in Cleveland.

On Friday night, Manton will defend his streak against an executive director from Williamstown, Massachusetts, and a content manager from Riverside, Connecticut.

Manton will have a ways to go before becoming the all-time "Jeopardy" champ to hail from Northeast Ohio.

    Matt Amodio holds that title.

Over the span of two seasons starting in 2021, the Medina and Ohio State University grad won 38 straight games and earned $1,518,601 along the way.

He has since competed in the show's tournament of champions specials.
