The Cleveland Guardians delivered the drama Thursday evening in the ALDS. Their 5-4 win over the Detroit Tigers in Game 4 featured assorted big moments.

And as can be expected, Tom Hamilton — the voice of Guardians baseball on the team's radio network — delivered, too, coming through with exciting radio calls as the Guardians evened the series 2-2.

The highlight of the night: David Fry's two-run, pinch-hit home run in the seventh inning to put the Guardians ahead 4-3.

Fry entered the game as a pincher-hitter in the seventh and blasted a homer to left.

"Hit a ton," Hamilton began the call, letting listeners know this ball was hit deep.

Fry wasn't done coming through for the Guardians.

In the ninth, in need of an insurance run (which proved huge), Fry got a runner home from third with a successful safety squeeze bunt.

The Guardians entered Thursday having not scored in 20 consecutive innings, after being shut out in both Games 2 and 3. They snapped that streak in the first inning.

A winner-take-all Game 5 is set for Saturday, with the first pitch at 8:08 p.m.

Stay tuned for more from Tom Hamilton.
