Three people were injured Saturday night after two motorcycles crashed in Coventry Township, according to the Summit County Sheriff's Office.

Around 11:30 p.m., deputies responded to reports of a crash on East Warner Road. Two motorcycles were traveling west on the road and crashed near Otter Drive. The Summit County Metro Crash Response Team also responded to the scene, according to a release.

A 43-year-old man from Amma, West Virginia, a 52-year-old man from Canton and a 47-year-old woman from Wadsworth were all transported to a local hospital by the Coventry Fire Department, the sheriff's office said. The woman and one of the men were seriously injured in the crash.

Inspector Bill Holland with the sheriff's office told the Beacon Journal that the woman was a passenger on the motorcycle with the man from West Virginia and that the Canton man was the one who was seriously hurt.

The roadway was closed for about three hours after the wreck occurred, the release stated.

The cause of the crash has yet to be determined. The crash remains under investigation by the Summit County Metro Crash Response Team, the sheriff's office said.
