2 killed, 1 injured in Friday crash involving motorcycle in Medina County

The Ohio Highway Patrol says a Friday evening crash in Medina County involving a motorcycle killed two and injured another motorist.

The patrol reported Monday night that a motorcyclist and his passenger were killed in the crash on state Route 303 near State Road in Hinckley Township.

Authorities say Rocky Iammarino, 42, of North Ridgeville, and his passenger, Rachel Iammarino, 38, of North Ridgeville, were killed in the crash when they attempted to pass a pickup truck and a commercial truck.

The motorcycle collided head on with an SUV that was traveling westbound around 6:15 p.m. Friday.

The patrol says neither were wearing helmets and they both died at the scene.

The driver of the SUV, a Brunswick resident, was injured in the crash and was taken to the hospital for non-life threatening injuries.

The crash remains under investigation.
