CLEVELAND — The Guardians rallied with a three-run seventh inning, cutting their AL Championship Series Game 4 deficit against the New York Yankees to 6-5 on Friday night at Progressive Field.

The inning started with Brayan Rocchio drawing a walk and Steven Kwan singling against Yankees reliever Jake Cousins.

Clay Holmes relieved Cousins and struck out Game 3 hero David Fry .

But Jose Ramirez hit a one-out RBI double down the right-field line to score Rocchio and cut the Yankees' lead to 6-3.

Then Josh Naylor hit a two-run double to right-center field, scoring Kwan and Ramirez and slicing New York's advantage to 6-5.

Mark Leiter Jr. relieved Holmes and faced rookie Jhonkensy Noel, who entered the game as a pinch hitter for Will Brennan. A day after hitting a two-run home run to left field in the ninth inning of Game 3, Noel flew out to the left-field corner for a dramatic second out.

Then Leiter struck out Andres Gimenez with runners on first and second base to end the inning.
