Day One Begins at Saginaw Bay

Garber looking to become a more physical team under new head coach
ESSEXVILLE, Mich. (WNEM) - The Garber Dukes ended last season with a 5-5 record, making the playoffs for a fifth straight year, but would fall in the district semifinals. With 14 seniors returning this season, the Dukes are looking to use their experience to push the team back to the playoffs.
Bay City’s first-ever disc golf course now open
BAY CITY, Mich. (WNEM) - A Bay City park is now home to the city’s first disc golf course. The Bay City Department of Public Works announced on Wednesday, Aug. 28, the Ted Putz Nature Area now houses a disc golf course that is designed for all ages and all skill levels.
JV football sprints to victory over Reese
The JV football team sprinted out of the gate at Reese on Wednesday, scoring 32 points in the first quarter in a 40-6 win over the Rockets. Hudson Myers led the way with three touchdowns. Gauge Woelzlein and Layden DeLong scored Millington’s other two touchdowns. Woelzlein, Drake Terwilliger, Coleton Schisler, and Noah Steward (2) all converted points after touchdown plays.
