One of the lasting legacies from the COVID-19 pandemic for Summit County residents may be how businesses switched from working full-time in the office to working from home — either on a hybrid schedule or 100% remote.

About a third of workers with jobs in America that can work remotely (35%) are doing so on a full-time basis, according to a 2023 Pew Center survey . This is up from 7% from before the pandemic.

With opportunities to work from home becoming commonplace, more and more professions and industries have made remote possibilities available for Northeast Ohioans to explore.
