Inspectors spotted on coaster tracks
Several users of X, formerly Twitter, posted Sunday about spotting inspectors on the track of Top Thrill 2.
According to a previous statement from Cedar Point , once modifications to Top Thrill 2 are complete, they will be inspected by the park's maintenance and operations teams, as well as its third-party ride inspection partner.
YouTube creators Ghoster Coasters said in a video Saturday that trucks were arriving at Top Thrill 2 on July 25, and more activity was visible at the coaster. The channel, citing social media posts, said more work was happening on the train on July 26, with cranes lifting seats into place, cables being attached and more inspections being conducted. The silver train was then spotted in the station for testing.

Top Thrill 2 is an update to Cedar Point's Top Thrill Dragster
Cedar Point's newest coaster made its debut in April, when the park invited coaster enthusiasts to take a test ride. Top Thrill 2 is a reimagining of the Top Thrill Dragster, which debuted in 2003, and uses much of the old coaster's layout, including its signature 420-foot tower.
The update added a new launch system, sleeker coaster cars and a second tower. Antonio Zamperla, whose namesake Italian company reimagined the coaster, said the new coaster was two years in the making.
