The storms stayed north and east of Greater Akron on Monday.

But the National Weather Service says there's the potential yet again on Tuesday for severe storms to develop across northern Ohio.

The weather service has issued a severe thunderstorm watch for all of northern Ohio through 7 p.m. Tuesday.

The culprit is a cold front approaching.

Storms on Tuesday have the potential to pack damaging wind gusts, a tornado or two, large hail and heavy rain that could lead to some flooding problems.

The storms are expected to develop in western Ohio and over Lake Erie and move southeast across northern Ohio.

The weather service says the main threat of storms will be from noon to 10 p.m.
