Alabama woman arrested after allegedly punching 10-year-old daughter at school

An Alabama woman was arrested after allegedly punching her 10-year-old daughter in the face at the girl’s elementary school.

Tyler Saffo, 31, was charged with aggravated child abuse and booked into the Mobile Metro Jail.

The incident occurred on August 23, when a fight reportedly broke out between Saffo and her daughter on campus of Leinkauf Elementary School.

According to the Mobile County District Attorney’s office, Saffo punched her daughter, causing the child to fall to the ground, and then struck her again. The incident was captured on surveillance video.

The Department of Human Resources is involved, and the child is now in the custody of another family member.

Saffo bonded out on a $15,000 bond.
