Alabama police confiscate animals after photo shows malnourished dog chained to car

Police in a small, Alabama town say they’ve opened an animal cruelty investigation after a photograph of a seemingly malnourished dog chained to a car circulated on social media.

Idler, Alabama, police say the investigation has resulted in the confiscation of four animals from a property.

The owner of the property was not identified, but police said they were issued a court summons and the animals taken to a local animal shelter for care.
