An Alabama man was killed early Wednesday when his vehicle ran into an SUV, state troopers said.

The two-vehicle crash occurred at approximately 5:30 a.m. Wednesday, and claimed the life of a Florence, Alabama, man.

James E. Warren III, 25, was fatally injured when the 2002 GMC Sonoma that he was driving struck the 2005 GMC Yukon driven by Nathan G. Small, 24, of Hazel Green.

Warren was pronounced deceased at the scene.

Small was also injured and transported to Huntsville Hospital for medical treatment.

The crash occurred on McKee Road near Carroll Road, approximately eight miles north of Huntsville, in Madison County.
